Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Colon puts his campaign for NL DH baseball on hold for one start, as he doesn't bat today.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I'll come out and say it: This is a Big Game ®.Wonder if Grandyman gets the day off considering the lefty and the fact that the top half of the order has been awful.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Angels say: "get a whiff of that Colon"Or, more grammatically: "Get a whiff of that, Colon"
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Tick tac toe, 3 in a row. And then a double.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I wonder if serving three in a row up to guys in their 20s (Trout), 30s (Pujols) and 40s (Ibanez) in that order is a first?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Damn. We score in the first again and then...that. Whatever that was.4 runs, 3 HRs, 2 doubles. Hm, Grandy with a nice single.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Oy. He shudda a-rodded it out of Wilsons glove.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Jeez!! I thought game was a little after four and I put iton outside to see what they were blabbin' about on the pre-game and JACK-JACK-JACK! Ouch!

Ouch! You didn't mistake the action for a highlight video?Colon pitching in third. Youch, even the outs are ridiculously hard. We need innings from you Bo Fat! Get it together.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Walk, double, triple. 6-1 LA.I think I'll go paint the chimney.Single. 7-1. 4th
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I think I'll go get a colon-oscopy.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I think it's time for another coat of polyurethane. In the room with the disconnected TV. the Mets game looks good on it right about now.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 d' turns himself in for a run. If we only needed one run that woulda been great.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Conger with a 2 run bomb.9-2I think I'll go build a chimney.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I think at least one "Memories Of ... " thread should be warming up in the bullpen.Later
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Great weather we had today, huh? Sure did enjoy it, in between those twenty-minute segments of the day when I checked the radio.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I didn't get to watch the whole thing, but in the first 3/4 innings the mets were definitely getting totally done on balls & strikes. Sure Bartolo didn't exactly help, but it was genuinely unreal to watch again & again a pitch WAY low/inside/outsidebeing called a strike.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I think this just about wraps it up:Going for the Bugs Bunny HR conga line look.
