It was moderately popular last year, so we'll try it again this year. IPP stands for Individual Player Predictions. These will be threads where we share our expectations of how a player will perform in the current year. Feel free to make your predictions as specific or as vague as you like. (You can find a listing of the 2013 IPPs here.)

I think Curtis Granderson will have a nice year for the Mets. .255, 26 homers, 95 rbi. If the Mets don't win 90 games, it won't be his fault.

Gary Cohen who is not prone to hyperbole mentioned inn one of the early Spring Training games that NO PLAYER in his opinion had ever made a better first impression that Granderson.....there is no stat for that .....

.275 - 26 hr - 102rbi . I think he is going to be great

.265- 31- 102.
And fewer than 170 Ks. (less than what MFY fans are saying)

Fast start, VERY slow June/early-July. Better, if normalized second half. He'll be fun to root for. Not so much fun to watch when he's making wind like he's the Greek God of Zephyrs, Typhoons, and Wet Farts, but, hey, No Bay!

144 G, 605 PA, .245/.342/.468, 71 R, 26 HR, 83 RBI, 10 SB, 50 XBH

After seeing him a bit:

.283 / 33 kaBOOMs / 101 RBI

Yep, it's a thin line.

I'm concerned , he looks kind of shit in the early going.

Hey! That's a patina of Yankee taint. He was there for several years. You can't just scrape that crap off in one off season. Takes a little time to wear off. He's probably still waking up in the middle of the night with Jeter intangible sweats. His soul has been scarred. Give him time.

beltran 7-23 216/273/400 // 673 battling multiple injuries
ellsbury 4-32 279/348/392 // 740 not bad but $21 million/yr for 7 years good? Nuh-uh
grandy 10-35 234/356/409 // 765 even with the worst start in history already better than either of these guys

he's currently on pace for around this [.240 / 23hr / 75rbi - 160k]. And i'm glad to have it.
But he's hitting leadoff more now, so while his RBIs will probably not reach projections, his RS will exceed them [probably in the 90/RS range].
Plus, he's got the whole towel-waving thing to his credit.
so there's that.

It looks like everyone who posted in this thread has turned out to have been overly optimistic.

At this point, we can only hope that he'll take a page from Carlos Beltran's book and have a much better second season with the Mets.
