TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I know you have Miggy at third, but I'm open to moving Todd Frazier for some young starting pitching.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 i have miggy and zimmerman at third, and miggy, morneau, and davis at first. i really need some outfield power....
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 third place?! what the shit is this?!
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Suffolk County engaged in a hostile takeover.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I wish I had not not paid attention to my team for a solid two months, or y'all'd be in serious trouble. Good thing I drafted well.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Jeter's been put on waivers. I wish I could pick him up and make virtual money off of my virtual fans by giving them the opportunity to see him play his last games for my (crappy) virtual team.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 ERROR! Your team has no more games to play at CThanks, Travis.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 this season seems like its going to be a real barn-burner right until the end. Quite a difference from what it looked like in july, eh? [grumble grumble] troy tulowitzki [/grumble grumble]

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Hey guys, sorry I was so shit at keeping up this year. The daily change leagues always prove too busy for me to handle. The Cornballer Franchise (and our stable of fine show ponies) will be available to a new owner next year.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Broke out of a poorly-timed two week slump with five homers last night. It's on, metsmarathon, it's on!
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 My offense seems to be comin on of late. I'm not sure how much higher there is time for me to climb but here's hoping...!I'm worried a bit about losing the strikeout lead. I don't have many innings left...
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I think it's time to call this one.Congrats metsmarathon!
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 whew! for a good long time there, i was worried that the difference between first and second place was going to come down to one player. steve fucking pearce. ho played like a house on fire until i picked him up mid-season, then promptly slumped for a good long month, looking like the scrub he'd ever been. then i drop him to make room for an up and coming shortstop, or maybe jake lamb, i forget, and suddenly he's on fire again. dick! i'm glad hte giants made the playoffs and held off pitching bumgarner last night, or i'd surely have lost hte strikeout title to muddy chickens. thanks, everybody, for a great season! are we still going to be needing a new player for next year, to assume control of the corndogs? i might know a guy who'd be interested.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 Congrats. I imagine Jordan's no-hitter helped.Yeah, looks like we need at least one player. Dunno if anyone is interested internally.

Dunno if anyone is interested internally.actually, it didn't. i'd maxed out my innings, on friday, i think. i had three starters projected for friday, and started them all in the hopes that i didn't hit the 1500 inning cap before the last one (wacha) started his game. if i'd've paid a little more attention, i might've been able to hold off until yesterday, when i also had 3 starters projected, but i didn't want to run the risk of having starters not start due to playoff rest, or other last game of the season silliness. as it stands, i only just barely snuck wacha's innings in in time.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 don't forget! arbitration season opens today! (be gentle!)should we look into getting a replacement for the cornballers? if so, should we have it in place before we conclude arbitration? i may have a friend who would be interested.
