instead of Ed Kranepool, what would the name of this forum have been?
OE: I put in the word "instead" to put it into time perspective. The Mets acquired Staub long after 1961.

Jack Kennedy certainly wouldn't have died, the Beatles wouldn't have broken up, and NBC never would have cancelled Manimal.

As I recall, opinions were divided between THE RUSTY STAUB AND NAIL and RUSTY STAUB-ED IN THE BACK

But I also understand that serious consideration was given to:
GOOD RON HUNT-ING
JAY HOOK-ED ON THE METS
THE JIMMY PIERSALL EXPERIENCE
MARV THRONEBERRY FARMS
CLEON JONES' LOCKER
THE JOE CHRISTOPHER STREET FAIR
TIM HARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN
JERRY GROTE TO THE MAX
GUS BELL, BOOK AND CANDLESTICK
and DUFFY DYER STRAITS

... but that could all be just rumor.

I suggest that we change the name to the Swane Pool Forum for supermodel Candice Sawnepoel.

Would I have immigrated to the USA?

Maybe the Mets would have been more successful in the early '60's, Rusty would have landed a recurring guest gig on Hogan's Heroes, and this would be known as the Bob Crane Pool Forum.

Or, well, not.

The Video Yearbooks would have been a lot more, um, colorful, certainly.
