Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Seems like the Rockies are one of those teams that is either totally on fire or completely sucks, all depending on when you get 'em. We do owe them a good sweeping or three.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I think last night was the Mets first win against them in Citi Field since 2010. I know that they were swept by the Rockies in 2011, and I think the same thing happened last year.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 You're right. The last time the Rockies lost a game at Citi Field had been in 2010.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Extra fun seeing them stare down the tunnel looking for a hitter. That used to happen back in the days when teams didn't always carry bullpen catchers, let alone sometimes two, plus a catching instructor. When a team needed their third-string catcher to pinch-hit, he had to dash through the tunnel from the pen to the dugout, not having gotten a look at the pitcher or maybe a chance to swing a weighted bat.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Harvey with a smooth first. Was missing high & hard when he missed. Two pops and a K.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 That last pitch to Byrd was a fastball? That's some movement Chacin has.0-0 After one.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 A collective awwwwww from the fans at the game (and me here) as Colorado's Rosario strokes a line single for their first hit of the night.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 This isn't the memories of Lucas Duda thread?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Your cute kid, and well dressed, but don't quit [crossout]your day job[/crossout] school.Lights up talking about his grand-dad. They got to get that kid a cushion to sit on so he can actually see home plate.Wilmer Flintstone Flores with his first hit ever. In MLB.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Q drives in a run with a hit. The kids good luck!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Yea. I agree with Keith. Let the kid take it the rest of the way. Ohh. I mean the rest of the game, not the inning. Gah.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted with no direction towards you, Z .. justthought the kid was good.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Buck with a 2 out single drives in run #2.2-0 after four.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Our best hitter right now got on again with yet another double, and Buck plates him.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 That's a low-assed pitch count. Let's hope he doesn't cut off at a certain count. And let's hope we pad that lead.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Seventy pitches thru six. A pace for 105 thru nine.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Tons of grounders and slow-choppers today for the Matt-ster.Lighter than normal on the K's but that's OK by me.
