Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Battle of pitchers hungry for wins. Chicago's John Danks is 1-4 with a 5.40 ERA. New York's Shaun Marcum is 0-9 wiht a 5.76 ERA. That's one dream-ass matchup, my friends.Make sure you post in the right thread. This is the right thread, isn't it?
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Ronnie doesn't know Harpo from Groucho (Gary said Ordonez looked like Harpo), but makes up for it with a pretty inside John Lennon reference. Pop culture score: Gary 1, Ronnie .5.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Was just staring a shlub in row one who was in focus behind the dugout for every righty in our righty heavy lineup.Just as I'm thinking, "How does that shlub get those seats?" two cutie-pie young woman walk down the aisle, look at him, look at their tickets, than look from one to the other in the classic "I don't want to say you're in our seats, but you're in our seats," manner.

Pop culture score: Gary 1, Ronnie .5.Grouchos been a hot topic here lately. For years he's been ignored by us and then he pops up a bunch a times in a few days.Talking about that built in third base line (guys are)..what would that be made from? Wouldn't it be a different surface than dirt? I don't think that is proper.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Got too admit..Doc is brutally honest in his book...Lotsa positives in it also...not just trainwreck allure..

I don't think that is proper. If you are not getting the SNY feed: The Guys pointed out the the first baseline in drawn on the dirt like usual, but the third baseline embedded in the ground, and they just have to dust off the dirt to make it visible before the game.I imagine is must be made of hard rubber (like a pitchers rubber). Wouldn't that surface result in a different kind of bounce than what you would get on dirt?I can understand lesser levels using this type of thing, but not at the MLB level.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I'd check in here if only Harvey was pitching.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 lol^. We have to see how aerodynamic Satins eyebrows are. STEAL!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Goin 1st to 3rd will suffice. I don't think they slow him down at all.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Danks fer nuttin, Noonan.2 run single for Lagares.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 HA! Ramirez sucks. Morel too.2-0 Mets
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Tried to field the ball off to his side, and never even touched it. Just watched it go by.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Ha! Morel sucks more than Ramirez.3-0 Mets
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 More sketchy Dee. I'm sure this team makes Ventura wanna suit up.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 What a nice piece of hitting by Muffy. Is Young actually as fast as his legs move?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Holy incompetence Batman (and Robin), it's nice to be on the right side of one of those innings for a change.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Oh that is some ritzy glove work by the infield! Looked like a phantom tag by Satin.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 That's how you play defense, White Sox. Can we show you that again?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Wow. what a wacky DP. Murph likes to throw w/o looking.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 And a Q-ball in the Satin pocket to end it.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 WHOA! Q makes a brilliant play in the hole. Even when the throw was half way there I thought no way he gets him. Very nice Q.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Good golly. If this were NBA Jam, Q would be, like, hitting flaming shots from his foul line and smacking Shawn Kemp dunks halfway into the backcourt.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I love a double play where they do everything wrong but still get the two outs anyway.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 That only works if it's the catcher running. But still. Gosh, I don't know if even Jeter makes that play. That's how great it was.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I actually know the answer to this Stump Gary without looking it up. Remembering it gives me an ulcerish stomach-upset, but still.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Cutie-pie young women still in the front row, chowing down on corn dogs and not realizing they're turning into shlubs just like the poor guy they embarrassed out of their seats.I'm starting to notice that Byrd tends to tap his heart with his right hand before each at-bat.
