Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 How come Hawkins is in there and not Parnell?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 There's two sides to that coin and this side is burning Terry pretty bad.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I'm surprised that's Hawkins' first loss of the year.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Vegetable udon with side orders of edamame and Wasted Rally.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 A key step in that recipe: Leave your best reliever simmering separately. Add never.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Shame we lost this one. Really came down to dumb stuff like the stolen bases and wild pitch against Wheeler.WE know by now Terry isn't going to go with Bobby Pee tied on the road. That said, gutsy job by Terry/Hawkins to get the guy to pop up, I really thought they bullied their way through that mess together. Oh well.White Sox aren't very good, looks to me. I mean, Sale was some kind of awesome skinny dude, but geez, the rest of them aren't anything.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yeah Sox look as bad as the Mets......similar record.I thought it was very interesting in the early goings to hear Ron and Gary talk about how Wheeler was pitching very differently in this game then in his debut. Ron ripped it, all the off-speed stuff Wheeler was throwing, why change what was successful?makes no sense he said and it did Wheeler a disservice .....Gary then jumped in with " they did the same thing to Harvey last year".So, that comes from the front office or is Wharten thinking for himself?Assuming it is true btw.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 They've got Sale and Rios and not much else but some vague future "promise." We've got Harv and Wright and the same remainder. We have met the enemy, and he is us, with worse ballpark food.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Exactly. Do they have us in chardonnay, Mr. Hops-and-Malt? In malbec?

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Lots of people drop popups. Not many execute an open-field tackle on a teammate while doing so. Gotta give this one to the Sox.
