The Mets and Braves are poised to become the first teams to have three games completed on the same calendar date since the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 23, 1996.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Look at Buck catching the day game following the morning game.

After completing a delayed game in Atlanta on the night/morning of Aug 22/23, they then flew to Miami for a DH.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I'm kinda waiting for D'Arnaud to replace Buck next month...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 It'll probably take longer than that.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Byrd and Duda walk! Two on, none out! A rally!
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Alex Wood totally sounds like the cute-guy singer for a faux-Lemonheads band.Meanwhile, phase 1 of Operation Runnerstrander complete as Buck strikes out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 "Stranded Runner" was the first song Alex Wood wrote when he joined Mummery.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Another 2 on situation here in the 3rd, for Boid.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Byrd gets a retrieve (that was strike 3!) and he makes it count. Gj getting down that line Tweetyboy.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Murphy thinks he's Mookie Wilson lately.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Between the walks, the K's, the foul-offs, and the deep-counts, this Wood guy has thrown around 75 pitches thru 3 innings yet the Mets have only hit six, or maybe seven, fair balls so far.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Good hustle and lazy defense. We'll take the run.And Harvey walks the leadoff hitter.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Two walks in one inning. Hmmm. Then Harvey rears back and gets out of it. Ronnie said it early: He does not have a good feel for the slider yet. So we are seeing more fastballs.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Pitching change already. Interesting.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I really wish they'd do something about the home plate mike. Every pitch sounds an axe hitting a tree stump.
