Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 It's nice to see a ballpark with the seats behind the plate filled.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Striking out Carpenter is not easy to do.Marcum failing to shit bed tonight. Let's get some runzzzzZZZ.

With Wright and Davis, not at all.I wanna say something nice about Marcums performance tonight, but I'll wait.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Was that a hit and run? Cuz then I can be pissed only at the new guy, who swung for the fences.
Guest vtmet Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'm not watching on tv...but...is our offense really that pathetic that we are having a 33 year old catcher with 5 career steals (and over twice as many caught stealing) trying to steal to get into scoring position?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Very confused what happened there. Firstly, nothing forced that ball free.Secondly, secondbase was uncovered --- making that the third straight game with an uncovered base.

And Wright being concerned about an open second base made him run toward the base, which created the situation where he didn't just stand there and tag the guy. The runner stopped, Dave ran towards 2nd and the runner, the runner started running to third again, and the two forces met (Wrights glove/arm and the runner), ball jarred free.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is there a reason Murph didn't throw home on the Jay double, or was Holliday a lot closer to home than my eyes said?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 5th inning and only 3 hits. And one is by Marcum and another by the new old guy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Well, I don't know, but the runner was practically arrested. And two handed tags are always a good idea. These Cards have good fundies. Certainly better than what the Mets are showing.

I'm not sure if he changed his mind because of the relay, or if he never was gonna throw home in the 1st place. If he was gonna go home and went to third cuz of the bobble, I gotta commend him. He didn't hesitate and came up throwing for third. I do think he lost any play at home cuz of the relay.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Lousy strike three call on Baxter. Sweet double by Murphy follows.Get angry, Cappy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Murphy getting all thefty.I guess that the scouting report said they could steal off of this battery.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is this wacky running just cuz Molinas on the bench?
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 There's another one of those goddamned swings.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Pitch count or no, it's almost unsporting to bring in a LOOGY for Ike these days.
