BRING ME THE BAT HEAD OF ANDREW BROWN

I've made up my mind
To make a new start
I'm beating up the Marlins and their stadium's
...modern art

Perhaps Byrd's start today is a "show me something or else" start? (More probably, for Lagares)

I was going to edit this to follow up Edge's, but I think
I'll just let it stand on it own ...

Seems that the wrath of the Gods
Got a punch on the nose and it started to flow;
I think I might be sinking.
Throw me a line if I reach it in time
I'll meet you up there where the path
Runs straight and high.

Murph gets picked off with 2 out and Wright at the plate.
They've now gone from merely incompetent to stupid and incompetent.

Ugh, Ed Coleman on the FAN (and XM) in place of Howie.

I've never particularly disliked Coleman, but he seems pretty off today.

Nice to see that they finally decided to break out of the one-hit-per-inning club.
Looked like it was going to continue for a while there after Wright's leadoff 2B was followed by outs by Buck & Duda, but then the three straight hits by Ike, Byrd & 'Speen turned everything around. Then, they decided they liked that so much that they're doing it again in the 7th.

Mr. Hand in to pitch.

I still think of Bret Sabrmetric's "Enuch" name for him. His voice is great but his answer to every question is "you might be right about that."

I adore tack-on runs.

They are the key to the universe and all that is good comes from them.

And often they are necessary ... like now.

The good news is we still have a one-run lead.
The bad news is that the team with a one-run lead heading into the 9th inning has lost three times in five Mets/Marlins games this season.
