Josh seems to think he should've swung at the maybe not a strike two, but if he swung aggressively at everything and didn't get a hit, we'd kill him for that too. It's befuddling with Ike. It's easy to try to point at things like blaming how far away from the plate he's standing and/or not covering the outside corner, but he was pretty damn good for the last half of the year last year, and I doubt it's that simple.oooh, nice assist by Byrd.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 The Ryu pitch in the dirt didn't bounce into the dugout, but it got under and away, and Ramon Hernandez is catching and... well... there was enough time for, say, an alert John Buck to move up.Unlike that last flyout. SIDDOWN, MVP.

Was it really wild and clear or was it just aggressive from Tejada? It was close to Hernandez and he got to it quickly and I wasn't so sure Tejeda was gonna make it. Rubin didn't hesitate tho, got a good jump. I was surprised the catcher didn't even throw it to 3rd, and that's why Muff was stuck.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I think the Mets caused the outage.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 UGH. Well, even this can't ruin my buzz from last night. GJ by Hef, better than I expected.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 This is just a terrible score, Edward.I mean, if you want a bright side its that we probably should have gotten swept but didn't.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Best takeaway is the notion that Hef might have more to offer than we expected.Worst takeaway is that, as reality settles in with Buckaroo, we're realizing some limitations from the right side. After Wright, Buck, Byrd, Turner, and Cow, even when it works out, it feels like we're fakin' it. Recker? Not so much.Got to work Lagares in there more often than not, and if that don't work, go out and find some Mark Little or Brady Clark.
