Only after going to SD State did he make a commitment to get himself in shape and eventually blossomed into not only a top pick but probably one of the most ballyhooed picks of the last decade or more.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 How many Met pitchers let themselves get distracted and rocked after the botched double play, but Harvey didn't even have the "mad at my teammates" facial expressions, he just bore down and got the job done.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 That was Denard Span, Newtown Truther making that last out.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I lost my internets during the 1st inning . And now it comes back on, and Harveys out. Thats all I wanted was to see him pitch tonight, and I was all excited about this matchup, lol. Life is so cruel sometimes. Kinda kool listening on the radio though. At least I could hear it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 And now those dreaded words: It's all up to the Met bullpen

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Not sure I would have gone with Rice in this spot -- Werth leading off and Harper can pound LHPs as well as RH -- but the career minor leaguer gets the job done vs 2-3-4 in the order!!

My brother calls and we're talking and he asks "whats the name of the 2nd Craig Bond movie?" and I'm like " Lemme see, Casino Royale,....Skyfall, I don't recall. Lemme chk the internet.DOH!"easy triple for the Capt.

Better to merge than to have two and get confused. It's also better to burn out than it is to rust.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Twenty-first career Met triple for Wright, one behind Mazzilli for eleventh all-time.Hey Zvon, do you have an original on this ol' avatar of mine? Looks like Ryan and Koos have lost some of their calves in my touchup work.Hey, it's 6-1! (Or 3-1 if you're Ashie.)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Ike be Storin' Drew's pitch in the upper deck.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 There's a Walgreens Pharmacy ad right behind home plate (at the moment) and it's funny to see that "Curly W" juxtaposed with the Nationals logo. It's like we're playing against Walgreens. No wonder we're winning.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Let Rice finish the game. He earned it!
