Mike Redmond is one of those guys where, I know the name, but even though he played for 13 seasons in the majors and as recently ago as 2010, there's nothing in particular I remember about him.
The good thing about him getting a 3-year deal is that the Marlins will finish paying for him right at the same time they finish paying for Ozzie.

Looks like we're just waiting on the Rockies and Blue Jays at this point and that'll be the last of the red ink for this winter.

Davey Johnson had been under contract with the Nats for next year but only in the non-specific advisor role that he held prior to being installed as the field manager.
He is now re-upped for the 2013 season as manager although says now that it'll be the final one.
