ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 The Mets, Rockies and Astros, the round robin of suck.
Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I took a sickie from work today, because I had a dream last night that Dickey threw a no-hitter in this game.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 One hitter won't be bad either. Aww, this kid is cute. Good broadcaster too.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I'm watching. Little light on the IGT'age tonight. Not much going at the plate, either.
Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 It's like a ghost town, In this IGT, It's a ghost town, Until the Mets learn how to win
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Put that ball in your pocket, stupid.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Well that's just fucking great. A bunt hit, an error, another bunt, and a passed ball. Way to make them earn it.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 You don't think there's any chance they leave this lefty in to face Hairston, is there? No? Shucks.

Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Fuck me. He should have run through the bag like Ron said.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 What a disgrace. Booooooooo
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 And now in the 9th we'll have:Torres - who hasn't had a hit in like a weekShoppach - who'll almost certainly be facing a RHPand the pitcher's spot which means either Cedeno or BayOh joy!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 No doubt, it's a fact head first into first slows you down. And that would have tied it. Big play. You looked flashy Valde, and I'm sure that was your only concern, but you just cost us a run son. A BIG run. I concur with a hearty booo0000OOO!
Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 What pisses me off is their inability to pull themselves together for one game to get Dickey a win against a pie-chucker of a pitcher.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 And now none of it matters.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 Only way I could conceivably buy diving into first as a good move is if you dive (not slide) so that your fingers touch the bag before you could take a step. Touch to time precisely and you're pretty much doomed to go tumbling past the bag. Your legs are moving so much faster than your upper body, so unless you're physically propelling your upper body with the push off, it's just not going to work.regardless, freaking run through the damn bag. EVERYONE knows this.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Other than the Torres IF single and the Baxter bloop double, I think the last time we actually got a ball out of the infield was about the 3rd inning.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Once again: soft hits and soft outs.Too many of the latter, not enough of the former.
