But we're not trying to have the minimum number of IL games because IL games are, by their very existence, far superior to all other games.

The Phillies aren't opening with interleague play. Their first games are on the road at Atlanta. Their home opener is against the Royals.

My understanding is that the interleague games will be minimized in April and August/September. As you can see from that Phillies schedule, they have no interleague games in August or September.

Adam Rubin said that the Mets will open next season at home against the Padres (last time that happened, the leadoff batter hit a homerun).

I've never been to the new stadium in Minnesota, but will be happy to go for the (possibly chilly) weekend of April 12-14.
