Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Lincecum gives Wright the ol' jellyleg to get out of a jam and preserve the lead.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 This IGT has gone about the way the game has.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Somehow Jeremy Affeldt gets to pitch two consecutive innings - in a save situation no less - and yet the world did not fall off its axis.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Sorry to fail in fandom on this one. Two nights ago, I napped for two innings in the middle and woke up to game-tying homer by Scott Hairston. Last night I doubled down, napped for two innings, and woke up to David Wright whiffing with the bags juiced.I kept the game going but I faded off to sleep again. A sleep most heavy and inky.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Why didn't Wright start?Is he hurt?Later
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Collins wanted to give him a rest. It was up to David as to whether he wanted to face Linecum on Tuesday or Cain on Wednesday.Wright chose Cain.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Looks like Ike could use a day too.

The problem is that those good outcomes seem like the result of chance more than anything resembling working the count or thinking out the AB, and the balls he didn't hit hard last night he must have missed by at least 15 inches each.
