Twitter just suggested I follow Michael Kay. I'd rather follow the Ringling Brothers' elephants while blindfolded.

Do they have to keep hitting our apple?

This is what happens when you put Batista out there.

You knew our bullpen was going to give it up at some point. Sparing Dickey the loss on his record was the best we could hope for.

Tito: THe DH does NOT "create more jobs" in the majors. It merely exchanges one job for another.

What a stupid line by Francona.

The thing is, EVERYBODY uses that line when they defend the DH.
I just stupidly thought Tito might be a bit smarter, or at least less cliche-dependent.

Abandoning the DH could create jobs AND save the owners money: the DH is usually a highly paid position as it's often a veteran player. You could have a 26 man roster but no DH, giving jobs to two, lesser paid, bench players.

Trying to be charitable, but Batista is not the guy I want to see in this game.

Sounds like a riot about to break out at the game.

Well, at least Byrdak and Parnell and Hefner will be fresh for tomorrow.

Especially for a second inning. Terry is one down in the bullpen and it's effecting his decisions.

I was calling for Batista to retire weeks ago but its not as though we have the talent out there to expect much from anyone, especially after going down like kittens in the last half. Let's be thankful it came with nobody on. If we can't find the O to hit with these jackwagons there aint much we can do.

Yeah, when I reach enlightenment, this is the question I'm gonna seek an answer to.

This strategy will all reveal itself when Cano steps up, down a run, two out in the ninth.

I'm watching with the sound off tonight. What are they saying about Ike?

Where the hell was that pitch, ump? Oh that's right... MFY pitchers get every close call so go ahead and call him out on a pitch at his ankle, you blind, overpaid, sonuvabitch.

Rottino should've started, man.

I agree, but Shorty thought it was more important to get Turner's bat in the lineup so it was OK to play Turner at first.

By the way eff Ike for being sick when we need him and not during the 2 months when he was killing us. I also think he wouldn't have made that bad throw Turner did that messed up Mr. Sunday Night Conversation.
