Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 My buddy Joe says he has two listings. First says it's on ESPN2. The other says it's blacked out. That's bullshit, right?
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Ramirez not available? Blew out his tire running in from the bullpen for the Johan celebration Friday night?

That's bullshit, right? It IS on ESPN2 because they have basketball on their main channel (or 'The Mother Ship' as ex-ESPN-er Dan Patrick now calls it) - but there should be no blackout anywhere seeing as how it's the national game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Um... this picture is really pouring a big cup of suck sauce over my sweet Mets sundae.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Wearing black to honor Franco they say. Makes sense , when I think of him he is wearing the black.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Not liking the black. Usually the 50th anniversary patch replaces the team logo patch, right? Looks goofy to have the Carter patch on the chest.

Tho the other day I was wearin black sweats, so for the game I put on my black jersey, and we did get a no-hitter....so...still don't like it. Ban the black.Mets score first on Dudas RBI single to right. If we win and its another shutout I may try to feel different about the black jerseys.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I came here to say "WTF! Black uniforms?" Thanks for letting me know it's just for the night.

He was injured for one of the remaining 7 seasons as a Met during which his on-field role became lower profile. And yet the black uniforms seem to fit the Franco of the mind.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Still circling the wagons around Timo Fucking Perez. Josh Lewin wonders what would have been if Zeile's liner had cleared the outfield fence. As if the fucking problem was that Zeile's shot didn't travel another five feet. Hey! I'd like to know what would've fucking happened if the fastest fucking guy in the stadium ran like the fastest fucking guy in the stadium.

Boy, what great memories John Franco brings back. Maybe the Mets'll wear those embarrassing blacktops for the rest of this fucking season.
