Mets close out April 13-10. Pretty respectable, but let's not making losing streaks a thing in May. win it tonight.

Probables are Jon "New Nose" Niese and J. A. "B. C." Happ.

I share a birthday with Manny Acosta who turns 31 today. As a birthday present, maybe they'll give him the day off.

My thoughts on the cowboy outfits. If they win the next two games, it means their loose, a team that gets along and it's all in good fun. If they lose, it's a definitely a sign that they are not focused on baseball and are wasting our time and money with their dressing-up shennanigans.

I'm Justin Turner. It hasn't been worth their while to start me for nine days, and now I'm suddenly the number-three hitter. How do you do?

Well, yeah... and the normal, 400-foot-kind, too.

Wow. We're going to get swept by the shittiest team in baseball.

Technically the Cubs, Padres, Twins, Royals, Angels, and Marlins are worse at the moment ... but, yeah, this isn't looking good, especially with their best pitcher going against our worst tomorrow.

I'd be a little more confident in our chances, I think, if we had a skipper who were less panicky than I am.

Alas. (And now we've got 6 innings to fill with that wonderful, wonderful 'pen.)

I keep hearing about Brian Bogusevic and thinking he must be the son of former Cosmos star Vladislav Bogi?evi?, but no. Mike Nickeas remains the only NASL offspring in the park.

I'm OK with the bailout as long as they use the long man as a long man and are committed to try and get three innings (or more!) out of him.

Technically not in the park, as per Gary he was sent back to the hotel with the same flu bug that Duda has. We are sans backup catcher tonight.
