TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 There have been some nice defensive plays by the Metsies tonight, It would be a shame if they had to lose the game on not being able to make the play.C'mon, offense.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Mets don't field well enough to win pitching duels, it's just how it's going to be.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Turner for Davis? OOF.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Holy hell. Ike sucks right now but really? Why is hitting 4th then? Not like Myrna Turner is some kinda stud.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Lutz wearing a little league helmet
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I've never seen that before. Wow.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I think Lutz and Valdespin need to rub off on each other a little more.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 IT'S A FUCKING RALLY! Nice hitting there by Muffers.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I'm glad they spent so much time in ST practicing bunts. If Kirk N. is on 2d, that's a run.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Hot smash right back up the box, Duda, Duda!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Liner off a shit fastball, Duda... DudaShin whack makes Mujica fall, oh, the Duda Way
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Fransisco in for the save. Comfort level is low for me.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 On MLB.TV, the SNY feed doesn't follow the network back to studio updates...during the last throwback to the studio after Valdespin nervously caught that popup, Keith said, "C'mon...this is the big leagues!"
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 PUT IT IN THE BOOKS YOU **********S!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Whew. I'm mildly surprised Stanton didn't park it on the Bridge.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 And all is right with the world again.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 A come from behind victory - how refreshing!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 whoohooI'm not all that impressed with the Marlins beyond Johnson.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Books!Welcome back, Jose...but I hope you go 0-4 every time I see you.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Big win. Mets don't win a lot of these Santana-Johnson duels.Lots of shameful, shameful behavior from Mets fans tonight (towards Reyes) but I guess that's to be (sadly) expected. Many fans were applauding despite the pervasive booing. Tribute video had lots of short clips but none of the big identifiable moments (cycle, inside the park HR vs the Dodgers, NLCS game 6 leadoff homer, etc.)As for the game: Rauch is a stud. Nieuwenhuis has wheels, both in the OF and going first to third. Lutz looked lost at the plate.Big Iassogna strike zone certainly helped rack up the Ks for both Johan and Johnson but it was still a treat to see such a well pitched game.
