3 games in, and my [crossout]psychotic delusion[/crossout] alter ego is kicking my ass. sigh.

btw, you should be able to add Nieuwenhuis to your lineup now. He was stuck in 'minor league players' until today.

You're welcome for that one.

I'm kicking ass and that's without any contributions from Ike Davis so far, or any bench to speak of. If any of the offensive players on my team has the day off I'm sort a player or two.

So this league is run by fangraphs? how do you like it so far compared to the Yahoo's and ESPN's?

less polished for sure, but it's newer and basically supported by a singular programmer. I enjoy the auction format of it, and the keeper/dynasty format of it. more 'serious' because you have to manage the cap and consider every move as it would affect it.

it's definitely clunky and ugly, especially compared to espn and yahoo. and if we only do it for this year, it's going to suck.
but i like the power of hte auction drafts and the minor league rosters and the machinations for the cap. i think it's really hard to say how it works until we get through the second year, but so far, a week in, i like it.

it would be nice if player news was easier to get to, if at all, but whatev's. it's novel and new and way more hardcore than a casual yahoo thing.

also, with the personal investment that each of us had towards the auction, it's hopefully less likely htat we'll have as much fallout as you might see in a typical yahoo league.

i think my team is playing all of their games in citi field. the old citi field. only with higher outfield fences and way more fould territory.

i have a great rotation and bullpen, but my god, my offense is abysmal. my team, with its 0.324 OBP and 0.426 SLG can barely out-produce daniel murphy.

Actually I've hit the fewest home runs.

my OBP is middle of the pack though.

I wish it had a 'last 7' feature, because I struggle with subbing in guys and playing the hot hand with my reserves, which is more relevant when you have large 40 man teams.

I based way too much of my O on Tulowitzski (not to mention Duda and Davis).

The end.

If you click on your player, it will give you his game logs for his past 10.

I was surprised to see that I'm in 4th place to start the day. I still feel like I'm going to be in sell mode, though.

LWFS should be talking to all of us about selling his youth for our stars.

I'm gonna go put Matt Kemp on the block.

well yeah, but then I gotta click 8 times to see all my OF and it's hard to compare that way.

I'm willing to take on salary for offense if someone needs to trim.

open up sortable stats in another window, and select only your team, and the timeframe you care about. be nice if it was more slickly integrated, but it's good enough.

pain in the ass when you've gotta manage two teams though...

The wind must have been blowing out tonight. My hitters hit seven home runs, but my pitchers allowed nine.

so, we're doing this again next year, right?

i just need to know so i can start agonizing over whether or not to retain my rights to the alpine albatrosses, or perhaps to go all-in with the bot.

i [heart] my albatross pitching staff, but golly-gee-willikers, clockwork has some tremendous values on that roster. i think with an undivided attention span during hte draft, he'd be in good shape for next year.

my team, well, there's some work my offense needs to do. i've got a lot of dollars tied up in not a lot of production.

It was fun despite my wildly unsuccessful, Met-heavy team.

Not for nothing but I think next year everyone should be required participate in the draft as it happens, rather than scoop up the remains.

I'm still in contention this season but not it's pretty much up to how the players perform these last 3 weeks. A lot of fun though.

Mark Reynolds has mostly been rotting on my bench for the last month. He has finally taken over for Freddie Freeman at my utility spot. I put him on the block and he got hot, hot, hot. But alas, no takers.

Well hopefully we'll all have 10-15 core guys at least to build around next season. So the draft will be only mildly time consuming.

There should at least be the spot vacated by either metsmarathon or m.e.t.b.o.t

Congratulations to the Mohawk Red Flyers! (Whose team is that anyway?)

So the site says arbitration begins Oct. 16. What does that mean?

arbritration is the new process of voting someone off your opponents team or something? I don't know, this change when in while I was chugging liters of beer in Mnchen so i'll need to read up on it.

Mohawk is mgmlax85 who was one of the non-CPF guys but I don't remember where we acquired him from.
