batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Though no longer on pace to bat .400, or even lead the NL in batting, David Wright is still on pace to break Eddie K's franchise hit record this season.Target date: Monday, September 10, 2012, at home against the Nats, (Jim Hickman appearing on the season ticket holder stock ticket).

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 It's probably been close to 40 years since somebody was this close to Kranepool.

Full time 3Bs and/or SSs are almost always going to lead your team in errors in a given year.It would be pretty odd circumstances for your 1st baseman to have more than your 3rd sacker and usually the sign of a real bad 1st-baseman although Ventura & Olerud wound up tied at 9 each in '99.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Outfielders (which KP was for 250 games) tend to make even fewer errata.Pinch-hitters, still fewer.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Also, Ed outtripling David, 25 to 19.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Ed also has 600 games on David. Only 2000 defensive innings on him though.Ed has 900 DP turned to Wright's 178. And wow, he turned 100 or more in '65, '66 and '67. I guess there were a lot of guys on?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Krane has 31% more triples than Wright in 25% more ABsA bit surprising at first considering better speed and Citi being a better triples park than Shea -- but then you have to figure that more HRs means fewer balls in play which means fewer opportunity for triples. The DP disparity is, of course, easily understood.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 positionally, are 3-4(6)-3 DPs significantly more common than 5-4-3?
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 i think the "-3" part of it is really the driver...
