As R. A. Dickey (4-7), who pitched seven innings to earn the win, put it: The fact that youre talking to me is a little bit ridiculous. If I even see my name in the story, Ill boycott.

Boycott...yet another word in the really awesome vocabulary of R. A. Dickey.

I know in theory it helps for all the non-Mets NL teams to lose, but pfft, it's the Yankees.

It's not a theory. It's 100% factual that an AL team beating an NL team helps the Mets in the long-shot long-run if they are to make a playoff push.

Myself, I was rooting for the Yankees.

I mean in theory I'm supposed to root for them because it's factual, but that doesn't mean I did/do. Rather the Reds and Cardinals fall out uof it and the second best team simply lose out in the wild card. Also hoping Cliff Lee's ridiculous June leads to a dead-arm July and the Phillies go 10-17 including a sweep at the hands of the Mets and we're not talking wild card anyway.

Cool.
Keep it safe, away from the eyes of kids looking for something to toss around.
That's how I lost my Jim Hickman home run ball from the Polo Grounds.
