G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2011 Author Posted June 23, 2011 Lance Johnson's September 1996 had the kind of finishing kick worthy of his nickname: 45 hits, including 10 doubles and 4 triples. If Reyes wants to catch the One Dog, he'd better be close to 200 by the dawn of September (if he's still here).John Olerud had 45 hits in August 1998. Jose had 40 in May 2011.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Lance and Jose are the only two Mets to ever lead the league in hits. while Mets anyway. I smell a trivia coming on..
