This is the front row, and obviously the further you go back you deal with the overhang obstruction and the seats in front of you blocking LF.

I enjoyed sitting there though, you can also see right into the Mets bullpen, even into their little hut out there.

Also I realized as I was standing at the ReadtheApple tailgate that I was going to go over to themetfairy's but I had no idea where you'd be. Was a lot of tailgating going on. Next time.

the odds of the kid meeting Mr.Met?

Glanced up there yesterday and noticed Mr. Met holding court. He's supposed to visit every day. And work the gluten-free concession.

They ask Mr. Met to do a lot.

CitiField's beer selection impressed me a lot more before I realized that Beer Island was pretty much all Anheuser-Busch-made/-distributed beers. The true locals are the Brooklyn (and its centerfield food-match varieties) and Bluepoint at Catch of the Day. More and more, I come around to Bluepoint as my default first-beer option (or the Brooklyn Shackmeister).

G-Fafif bought me a glass of something which was the only decent beer I had at Citi. Can't remember what it was though....I vaguely remember he said it was from LI but could be mistaken.

Almost definitely Bluepoint Toasted Lager from the fish place. From LI, and Greg's a fan.

Affirmative on Blue Point Toasted Lager (and Catch of the Day). Glad it made a bit of an impression.

It's bark in the park tomorrow.

I'll be there tonight. No barking though.

Officially purchased tickets. If anyone is playing hooky from work for a day game, let me know so I can say hello.

So now I have an extra ticket. My mother was supposed to join us but a back injury is keeping her at home. Anyone want to see a game on me? They're cheap seats in section 515 but on the other hand you'd get to skip work on a Thursday afternoon and meet my charming son.

I was actually planning on going Willets, but D-Dad is going to be out of town and I need to be around for parental duty :(

Doing the father-daughter thing on Sunday afternoon.

It's looking like we'll have an extra ticket, too... anyone interested?

Saturday here, too.

I have Prom tickets, but can't remember where... and may be moving down to join a group of out-of-town, highfalutin' friends with clubby access.

I wonder if the highfalutin' clubby access ratio of Mets:Yanks is higher?

In their free time, they tend toward Yanking.

Had a great time. Beautiful park, amenities, seats and really enjoyed the HOF. Small but meaningful. I loved everything except the MFYLDB's. Too many. Good to see a few of them in the Promenade tossed later in the game.

Any Shake Shack?

Kicking around the idea of taking Fboy to one more matinee this summer, to get him out of a day in [crossout:358pewlg]summer prison[/crossout:358pewlg] day care and me out of work. My two choices are Thursday July 21 12:10 vs. the Cards or Thursday August 11 12:10 against the Padres.

Anyone interested in joining us on one of these, or already planning on going/has tickets?

I won't be around for the July date.

The August date is tempting, but it's a bit early for me to commit.

Actually it occurs to me now that Fboy has a swimming lesson that day in July. So the August date is looking more appealing to me as well.

I liked those seats we were in earlier this year, MF. What level was that again, Caesar Club? Maybe we try one of the other parts of the park, the Pepsi porch or something. That game back in May was the first one where we weren't in the Promenade...

It was the Excelsior Level, which had Caesar's Club access.

I'm sure that plenty of tix for the matinee will be available on Stub Hub.

Went by SS after the game and punk jerk-off behind the counter kept saying they were closed. There had to have been at least a half dozen JO's just standing around -- concession still needed to be cleaned and closed out but they refused to serve. Next time.

D-Dad, MK and I will be in the house next Monday, August 1st.

Who else will be around for the first game after the road trip?
