Holey jeans, Batman!

I wonder if they got those matching duds (at probably $115 per) in the pre-distressed section of the 'Mommy & Me' jeans store on the upper west side.

Do we have this from earlier in the year? Supposed big shot stars of Unforgettable, Dylan Walsh and Poppy Montgomery, taking batting practice.

Supposed big shot producer Ed Redlich is the real fan.

I had to look up Kelli Garner. I don't think I've ever seen one minute of anything in which she has appeared. But she's a Mets fan, so I don't care.
I love her.

We could start a thread on "Words you see anymore".
Toothsome would certainly be on that list.
Then again, if they're on that list, we would have seen them recently.
Oh well, back to MLBS.

I was confused too, mainly because in that picture she's a blond yet she plays the red-headed sister - opposite her blond-haired siblinig - in the new series 'Pan Am'.
Other than that I had never heard of her either.

It seems to be the other tiresome trend in TV. Sexy, stylish and morally ambiguous times in the sexy, stylish, morally ambiguous early-mid sixties. Women are exploited as mere sex things, but they push back within the narrow confines they are permitted to exist in. This makes them sexier and more exploitable. Tune in!

They shouldn't have torn down Shea, but rather brought it back to it's early look and rented it out as a filming location.

The mania for Mad Men fashionability recent led Target to re-launch a line of classic Missoni post-war looks on the middle class, segments of whom, you may or may not have noticed, have gone nuts and stormed the stores (and crashed the website). They've bought the stores out of --- and please feel free to disagree --- some questionable fashion choices.

I kinda want them all, in assorted colors. But that may just be because second-from-left's sweater has hypnotized me.

Wow, Thorogood knows his stuff. Talking baseball in a bar for hours with Hernandez, well, I could die a happy man after that.

Nearly as good as JCL's interview from a few years back.....loved the word association in this one.

Otherwise... what do you mean, 'Show me the Home Run Apples?'"

Egyptian uprising prisoner Ilan Grapel.

Report: Ilan Grapel told Mets won Series
By Adam Rubin
ESPNNewYork.com

After being freed following a nearly five-month stint in an Egyptian jail during that country's uprising, Queens native Ilan Grapel received interesting news: The New York Mets won the World Series during his isolation.

The misinformation was a joke played by Rep. Gary Ackerman, according to the New York Post.

In a news conference in Tel Aviv following his release, the newspaper reports, Grapel said: "There's so many people to thank, and after being cut off for the past five months ..."

At that point, the Post reports, Ackerman chimed in: "We told him the Mets won the World Series."

Grapel, a 27-year-old U.S.-Israeli citizen, was freed Thursday in a prisoner swap between Israel and Egypt.

The Emory University law student arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport Saturday morning. He said he was arrested June 12 while attending a demonstration in Cairo and was accused of spying for Israel, which denied the allegation.

She may not be talking about an actual tall man, but singer/songwriter Kristian Matsson, a Swede who bills himself as "The Tallest Man on Earth."

The world's tallest man, Sultan Kosen, was in New York Monday as part of his Guinness Book of World Records' world tour.

The 8'1" Turkish man was re-measured and posed for pictures in Times Square before hitting Citi Park in Queens. And yes, Kosen did get to meet Mr. Met.

Ah, good ol' Citi Park. Where the Meters play the in the borough of the Queen.

Really? You're surprised the Huffington Post got something wrong?

Surprised? Sheesh, if you needed me to tell you the difference between The Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, Slate, The Daily Koz, and any other high-profile online news sources, you'd be in trouble.

I get my news from The Brooklyn Eagle and El Diario, thank you very much.
