In the middle of this thread there's a guy who shows up with info only a dad would know, "baseballfan" He never posted anywhere else, I'm sure it's him (also saw his photo there no doubt).

In the 80's, the Mets had a fastballer nicknamed Doc. Now, the Mets have a knuckleballer who shares a name with a doc.

Meet Dr. Robert A. Dickey of Oklahoma City. In case you were wondering, no, his specialty isn't urology.

OE - I just noticed in an above post that JCL was quicker with the Dickey than I was.

Well, he has the fighting aspect down right. Guess death means he won't get those appearances needed for the contract.

What, while he's prepping his defense for killing Vic Morrow and those kids?

Justin Turner will take care of any ground balls you direct at him, whether they be turkey, beef, veal, or pork.

Earthquake shaking him out of bed sorta gives that away, huh. Cool. Bobby was a skinny(er) lil dude back in Brooklyn.

Found Mike O'Connor. After bouncing around with 5 different teams in the Washington org in 2009, he penned a heart-wrenching screenplay about a quirky, lil' orphan no one loves, and he struck Oscar gold.
