Robbie Alomar? (If this is the correct answer I imagine your calendar is already outdated)

Before him it was Whitey Herzog, I think, unless they make a distinction of Vet Committee inductees as selectees instead of electees, but i'm going with Herzog.

Oh geez, yes.

But let's go for the one before him. Not Whitey.

I have this calendar and guessed correctly because the key to this calendar is understanding there is lengthy lead time on printing.

Something like that.

Ceetar's correct (Alomar). The calendar is wrong. Me and CF merely guessed the calendar's stale answer. Ceetar should get the point.

Herzog hasn't worn a Mets uniform in over 40 years, Vet Committee or no Vet Committee.

I've presumptively awarded the point to CF based on the calendar. But cooby is the referee with the final word - she can settle this when she returns home from work.

But there's nothing to settle. This is like giving credit to someone who thinks that one plus one equals four just because your auto mechanic also thinks that one plus one equals four.

It's a reasonable assumption that any trivia questions on a paper 2011 calendar implicitly have "as of December 31, 2010" appended to them. So I'd give the point to CF.

And if 1+1 had been 4 last month, then I'd call 4 the correct answer to that question, too.

Every question put forth from this calendar should be prefaced with an implicit, "Prior to 2010..."

Let's give em both a point, Mom

Why? The question didn't ask us for last month's answer. There was no qualifier. Not only that, but Ceetar's correct answer preceded CF's wrong answer.

I'm fine with that, I even prefaced my answer with "it'll be wrong", and I suck at Trivia anyway (as you'll see if they ever air that Beer Money episode) so it's not like if we keep up with it I'll be competing for top spot anyway.

I also should've known Rickey was the answer. And the calendar should've known it was probable that it'd be wrong too.

As far as I'm concerned, whatever you say goes.
