Gotta pinch-run for Polanco, no?

You should be managing a MLB team.

Well, he eventually went with a pr although not with Brown.
His move saves one player if they tie it up and Valdez would be the replacement, but Brown is faster than either and if they miss scoring a guy by a stride or two while their fastest guy sits on the bench ...

Only, y'know, the other two guys hit a few HRs during their respective playoff series, didn't they?

In my book:
- Beltran gets a pass on account of facing an unhittable pitch.
- Arod gets a pass because his team was down by 5.

Does that also mean he gets a winner's AND a loser's share of the loot?

Steve Phillips in 2000 made up a rule that said any player who had been a Met in 2000, wasn't there by the end of the season and then went to the playoffs with another team that year was ineligible for a league champions ring. The only player who met that criteria was Rickey Henderson, who left on bad terms (of his own making, I might add). Phillips was asked if this was a Rickey rule specifically. After dancing around it a couple of time, he said, yeah.

But Molina will get at least that much from Texas. And bless him for earning it.

Jeff Francoeur kept the Rangers loose and, merely by watching tonight's game on television, did the same for the Giants. He's my MVP.
