And now, a pretty reasonable assay of the Santana trade/the trouble with trading youth equity for aging aces.

oo, games still on.

Rain delay? perfect.
I'm here for the comeback.

So far this is what I call "a bad boring game".

And NOW, they must be getting punchy, because Howie just brought up the Clemens-Piazza bat-tossing, actually using the phrase "roid rage."

yeah, but they're burying Johan a little bit and a little bit too fast.

I still say that slam was part Johan trying to be too perfect and setting himself up for a clubbing, and part the genrosity of YSIII.

And sure, part Johan trying to find himself.

I wonder if Howie said anything about that at the time.

I would bet a vital finger that he didn't.

Yea, he is not there yet.
Had a great change-up earlier, it looked like from an inning I saw.
But he's not all there yet.
We just need a little..

wait for it

patience.

Oh well, that's that. Thanks for the IGT camaraderie this
weekend everyone and arrive home safely.

Davis looked at a fat one there.
And grounds out to Jeets.

Our 2 best pitchers don't show their best,
and some of are bats might as well have been left on the rack.

What did Bay do this weekend?
I shudder to look.

In a lot of ways it was a typical Mets/Yanx game in that the killer inning occurs via three consecutive shit hits followed by a blast. Typical in that the Yanx took advantage of it (I swear they must conduct 'shit hit batting practice' at least once a week) and that the Mets served up a granny.

Santana never looked comfortable the whole game. He was just working so goddam slow even before he got into trouble that, once he did, the result wasn't a surprise at all.

Considering the hot water Hagin got himself into over Todd Helton and possibly wanting to juice, I'd think Howie and other peeps paid to broadcast the games are wise in keeping their suspicions under wraps.

Got to watch the entire game on replay.

For me the turning point was right before the granny.
Swisher's bunt was a brilliant tactic in that situation.
And making a pitcher who is already throwing fast balls slower than usual
have to bust it in that heat, well....3 pitches later we saw the result.

And that damn homer just made it out.
Looks like it hit the top of the wall.
DAMN U GOB!
*shakes fist
