Tonight at 7:05, America's newest Every Fifth Day game show sensation, RAD or ICKY. Tune in and find out whether host R.A. Dickey will be more RAD than ICKY as he looks to make a certain Tribe of Clevelanders knuckle under to his charms.

I say R.A. Dickey is totally RAD and not all ICKY.

R.A. Dickey has become my favorite Met pitcher over his last three or four starts. That knuckle-ball of his is ridiculous. And I say that endearingly.

OE. I guess I should say Radickylous.

They should give away free dickeys at his next start.

The Dickies should play the national anthem.

I'm a little surprised at how much I'm enjoying the amiable freakishness of Dickey's knuckler; I find myself looking forward to R. A. Dickey starts like I do visits to Coney Island.

I don't enjoy them quite as much. (I was at the first Phillies game) He lets so many guys on base, and I know they're all bloops or the occasional walk, but I just spend the time cringing that he's going to make one bad pitch and give up a ton of runs one of these days.

The new Coney Island park any good?

Knuckleballers are weird: R.A. Dickey holds opponents to a .236 average if his throws ball one, .296 if it's strike one.

In one of his recent starts, I was watching the opposing team telecast on Extra Innings, and they showed a slow-motion replay of one of his pitches; the camera followed the ball on its way to the plate. You were able to really see that the stitches on the ball weren't rotating. The ball wobbled a bit, a little back-and-forth sway, but none of that spin that you'd normally see. I know that that's how a knuckler behaves, but I don't think I had ever seen one so clearly. It was uncanny. It's hard to believe that a ball could be thrown 60+ feet without any spin at all.

wrong thread! Hard to work, goof off AND watch soccer at the same time.

Reyes dived back into second, was checking his hand a bit. Let's get out of Cleveland with nothing worse than a quad contusion.

Wright strikes out in the middle of a rally and we still have two runs. When you're hot, you're hot...in Cleveland or otherwise.

This is fun, can we go to Seattle next?

Howie likened Westbrook, before the game began, to Millwood, and it wasn't a flattering comparison. So far, I'd say Westbrook and Millwood have more in common these days than last names that encompass two discrete words apiece.
