Bay Ks to end the Mets 8th.

I still got that feeling.

Its intermingled with this other sick feeling
I've developed over the last few innings.

Which shall win out?

OK guys, I kinda lost that lovin' feelin a few innings back, but it's Ike-David-Angel here in the 9th, anything can happen.

Another road series lost.

We suck.

Nieve..
46 pitches in the 1st inning.
Lasts two. 5 runs.

Perez..
Couldn't get any more rested than him.
2 innings.
3 runs.

Maybe Jerry will get all
Rumsfeldian in the post show.
That would be funny.
And I [u:22ewgdhz]WILL[/u:22ewgdhz] laugh.

I need to laugh...

When are they gonna solve the Ollie Perez situation? He's wasting valuable roster space and shouldn't be pitching. Down by three after two innings is not garbage time ... it's still a salvageable game there.

Good thing the Brewers bullpen sucks, huh?

I think the Mets are waiting for Trailways to have a two for one sales event so they cane ship Matthews and Perez to Buffalo cheaply. At least that's the dream I keep holding out for.

Agreed.
And this game they are playing cause he refused to go down...
we are losing that too.

Ollie and GMJ really exposed tonight.

They could release both of them. Jesus Feliciano is killing it at AAA Buffalo, plays CF, and is 30 years old. Its not like they have to keep him around for more seasoning.

I didn't realize Feliciano was that old, why not give him a try? GMJ has proved useless

Because he's not a major-leaguer.

Because they won't call him up, preferring to stick Landshark/Pro Player/Joe Robbie Stadium bags of Soilmaster on the roster, because it's got "major-league experience."

Because he's not a major-leaguer.

Because they won't call him up.

Because he's not a major-leaguer.

Because they won't call him up.

On another note... man, I'm like the Zach Greinke of IGTs. (Minus, you know, actually being good.)

Bases loaded, early in the game and we need a hit to put us back in it. We're hitting for the pitcher. LHP for the Brewers so I'm fine with not using Carter or Cora. If only there was a RHB somewhere on the bench...hmm...hmm...why not Tatis?

Matthews cannot be used in that spot. He must be cut immediately.

Jerry, as quoted by Adam Rubin:

In the course of a game, you never really know what run is going to beat you, or what runs youre going to need to get at what time, Manuel said. But you basically try to save a guy that you think has a good matchup for a guy later. I mean, hes a switch-hitter. We had the bases loaded and felt that he has a little pop right-handed. We felt we might just take a shot at it.

In other words, he knowingly put up a weaker PH to save a better PH for later. I get it but they were down by a lot and you don't know if a similar situation will arise later (it didn't). At least he didn't say he didn't want to use his emergency catcher too early.

Speaking of middle-relievers, Pedro Feliciano leads all Major League pitchers in appearances with 29. Fernando Nieve is second with 28. Only one other pitcher has 27 appearances (Masset, Reds); several are tied for 4th place with 26 appearances.
