Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 WTF. If that throw was on line, the catcher would have been able to take a nap. I know Maine was on deck but there was only one out.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Generally good at-bats, doesn't tend to swing at crap outside the zone, doesn't tend to miss strikes, fouls off a lot of pitches... Sanchez is a bit of a pain with the bat, no?
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I'm starting to warm to this idea of batting Reyes leadoff.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 There ya go Reyes. I knew you could bunt.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 This team, they like to throw to the outfielders.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 No bunt with Castillo there (Reyes at second, no out)? F*cking shocker.I'm not kidding. I'm really at a loss here.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 98-25 when Reyes scores 2 runs or more in a game? That's an interesting wackystat. Can't be wasting Jose here.Get that run in guys.

Odds are, if a guy's scoring twice, his team's doing a lot of scoring.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Why do I get this impression that Uggla's a real asshole?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Same reason I get that vibe off of Ross, prolly.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Good news: Maine's gotten it together after the first, painting the corners and getting swinging strikes on his fastball left and right.Bad news: He's up to 78 pitches after 3.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I like the black and white cannon kaboom, Z.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Same reason I get that vibe off of Ross, prolly.[/quote:17hl2ft1]...because he doesn't play for the Met's would also have been an acceptable answer.Don't wanna jinx anything but nice job getting out of that inning Mr Maine

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 If you're picking a temp for your #3 hitter, you could do worse than Pagan, really. He's hitting the ball with authority nearly every time up, being a lot more selective than I remembered, and is one of the few Mets hitting better with RISP/men on.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 UGHHHHHH. Francoeur, if you ever had an easy throw em out that was it!Eyecurumba.Errors kill.Cantu drives him in.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 ... and is one of the few Mets hitting better with RISP/men on.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Whether there's a bat or a ball in his hand, French seems to play baseball like a "playmaker" safety or middle linebacker-- flying all over the place, trying to make something happen... even when there's nothing there.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Nice play by that asshole guy. My asshole guy, not yours LWSF...That don't sound right....
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 RHP reliever in. Gotta PH Carter here, no?

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I know they had that six-run eighth the other day, but I feel just like I did last year about this team. They're not coming back once they get down.

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 That's funny, Edge ... when I watch Marlins on tv feed andthat song gets in my head it can take awhile to get rid of it ...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 RHP reliever in. Gotta PH Carter here, no?[/quote:389qd6xb]No pinch-hittee, no double-switchee.Francoeur is looking like he's Jerry's Guillermo Mota --- the guy he's going to stick with though the heavens may fall.Two-out rally and it's 7-3.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Sanchez is a Met killin hittin machine...Of course he gets driven in, in proper fashion.3-7
