Bad call, Jerry.

With Reyes not hitting and Bay probably capable of getting the run in from third, I was OK with the bunt strategy in this case. The execution, different story.

Totally not OK with it. Reyes was perfectly capable of advancing the runner by accident.

Implicit message to your team: "You're not capable of cashing in on this opportunity, even with the heart of the order comign up. Let me see if I can cover for you by finding a bullshit way to win this game by making outs."

Hot headed Jerry hating aside, why did 3B coach (Hall, I guess is his
name) have to run down to the plate and talk to Reyes. Was there a
missed sign or something. I was only half listening.

That was horrible.

Great to see you, Zvon! The kabooms have not been the same!

Reyes showed yesterday that he couldn't execute a sac bunt, but since it's the 9th, give it one shot. He Then looked horrible, so since he's fast, he's batting lefty... let him swing the frigging bat. He only had one swing.

Kong76--Reyes looked upset. It looked like Chip was trying to focus him.

Exactly. Total fucking crap.

And now the Fish are about to win this game, a game you should have fucking blown open in the top of the inning. EFF YOU, Jerry.

Nothing like a wild pitch/passed ball to end a crappy ballgame.

Score it a wild pitch for those of you scoring at home.

Bring back Randolph!

I hate losing in this ballpark.

Agreed. (Although I'm sure that we will be chastised for this opinion.)

Absolutely sickening.

I can't take Manuel anymore and his dumb bullshit. I'm sick and tired of all the regular players except Barajas, Davis and Castillo.

Or thirded.

Nieve looked rusty, didn't he? Oughta have him throw between tonight and tomorrow. Make this day's gloaming a throwing gloaming.

If you can't expect Reyes to advance the runner in that situation, then he shouldn't be batting third. At this point, why isn't he batting eighth?

Trivia for those who haven't read Adam Rubin's account: When was the last time the Mets lost on a walkoff wild pitch and who was the pitcher?

Brad Clontz!

Oh, wait...
