Welcome to my world, Lunchbucket. Gameday can be maddening.

Not as maddening as watching a Mets game on a computer in a shitty hotel room while doing work. I'm going to go to the dumbest restaurant I can find and drink a giant drink when this is over.

Don't fuck this up, Goggles.

I'll take "Things Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Said To Himself Before Playoff Games" for $200, Alex.

And thusly did the flipping dugout foul catch become known as "The Isaac."

I think Ike's got hisself a specialty.

Of course he's no Jeter as DJ knows how to catch the ball in fair territory before flipping into the stands.

This was a big win by any standard.

great win.
welcome aboard, Carter!
another flip over the railing by Ike!

the only "downside" for me is that Nieve was warming up in the 8th, presumably to come in if the Mets blew the doors open. Can we please rest this guy? If the game was out of hand enough where Rodriguez wasn't coming in despite warming up already, use Acosta.

Mejia was warming up at one point too.

I'll be on the front row of 507. I'm undefeated this year at Citi Field, so things should be good.

You doubted me didn't you? top of the 8th, down 6-2, you're thinking small sample size, Ceetar's wrong.

NEVER DOUBT ME!

Best Citi Field win yet, at least in my Log. I'm 8-1 this year, 34-11 in the park's brief lifetime. I Am Home Field Advantage.

This was the rarest of occasions as well, a weeknight game with Mrs. Fafif. It was our Night We Met anniversary, which we treat, like Chris Carter might with a sense of occasion. In this case, we sprang for dinner at the Acela Club. Not cheap. Very good, but not cheap. Only problem with it (besides it being not cheap) is it comes with an Adam Dunn three-run homer. Yeech.

I was resigned to Acela being the highlight of the night at 6-1, but a little rain sent us indoors a second time (our seats were in RF Field Level), to the Caesars (or Seavers) Club, which had never been fun before, but sure was as 6-2 Nats became 8-6 Mets -- too superstitious to run back outside while the rally was in progress. We watched Issac our Bat Tender secure the game from borrowed Excelsior Seats with a great view of the first base dugout.

It took four different locations, but we got the job done. Well, the Mets got the job done, but we bore witness. Hell of a night.

If you have the MLB App you can watch a 15 minute condensed game....

or you can watch the big moments in the game.....

For the first 3 hours you missed a horrifying and slow-paced piece of shit that had me both throwing things across the room and even turning to American Idol for brief spots just so I could find people on TV I hated less than anyone in a NYM uniform.
Then there was the 8th inning.
