ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 John Maine vs. K Kawakami..The Mets can pass the Braves in the standings with the correct, and expected turn of events.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Kawakami is a free-base machine. If it's a parade of two-pitch, swing-at-everything at-bats against this dude, I'll be so angry that I'll... I'll... why, I'll...

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 And Ike is ahead of Francoeur.I have a lusty feeling.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It's like he just needed a modest hot streak to reclaim the authority to act like a manager.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 And the moment that happens, you can console yourself with the amusing image of me, at home, trying to angry-tap-dance with a baby strapped to my chest.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Amazing what this lineup change has done for my excitement level for this game.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Psyched for this, too. Pagan in front of Castillo shouldn't alter Castillo's (or Jerry's) habits regarding bunting all that much, I don't think. Little change there. But Jose third could be regular old Jose with just more RBI. Should still have plenty of opps to run, too. Looking forward to seeing it.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Yeah, until Reyes gets a CS, and Manuel says afterwards he ran through a stop sign.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Jesu Christo, have some dignity, Mets. I mean, he's got a girlfriend, and he's not interested, anyway. We started pitching him away and he hit the other way hard and when we went inside, he pulled it with authority, Barajas said. The display left Barajas impressed. Hes way beyond his years, like a polished major league player, Barajas said. Hes so athletic. Hes got size, speed, everything you look for in a player.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I hat Chipper Jones. You just knew he was going to do that.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Maine walking people left and right, and now we get the phenom with the bases full.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Struck him out on a foul tip. That could have been A LOT worse. Now let's get 'em back!
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Frenchy heads to third on Melky's error -- man on third with none out! Get. Him. Home.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 That was the kind of thing Casey used to have to deal with.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Maine leaving due to injury........sorry for him.....booth speculating something with his left arm.Are the fans fucking booing him?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 What the heck happened to him?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Yikes. Well, we can always bring Nelson Figueroa up from Buffalo to take his spot in the rotation. Oh, wait...
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 IKE KABOOM!!!!!! And the legend grows!!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 That was a shot...over the bullpens .450 they are saying...
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Impressive shot by Ike there. Working the count leading up to it helped too I'd say.I missed Maine going down. What's his deal?I still think he's destined for the bullpen.
