A normal win we put it in the books. What do we do with this one? Put it in the encyclopedias?

One thing for sure, this game really brought the forum to life. It's like a who's who online right now.

And Frankie actually gets a win out of that.

I actually didn't want that to end... but I'll take that big fat W and cram it into the books.

Most triumphant.

But somehow, this feels a little bogus.

Just in case anybody would still defend the archaic rules of who gets awarded a win, after 18 shutout innings, one guy came in and gave up a run, and he gets the winning decision.

Still in the books, but you gotta get a James Michener sized tome to properly store it.

So Maine, you're going eight tomorrow. At least. If you pitch like last time, guess what? You're still going eight, so suck it up and deal with it.

Eighties pop stars Phwam!

Based on the postgame with Dan Warthen, it looks like the reason Francisco Rodriguez didn't get a second inning was because he was already gassed from warming up over and over.

ONe more reason not to save your closer in extra-inning games.

And speaking of warming up, give Dave Racienello some PotG love.

OK, no, but give Alex Cora some.
