Super-impressed w/ the MLB app. Tiny as hell, but it looks awesome. I'm rockin 5 bars on the 3G network, so imagine that helps it from being real pixelated.

Maine sort of all over the damn place. Hopefully will sneak out of this w/ only 1 run and then settle it down.

First coupla runs weren't scored on anything hit hard. Let's
keep some perspective with 160 to play after today.

While true he's had nothing all night, no life on the fastball but he's hanging around.

I know, I hear thanks Omar and I just roll my eyes.

Omar did nothing to improve the starters. Maine shouldn't be the #2. He's a #4 at best right now.

I should say, I think the slant with this rotation early on (as talked
about in the pre-game) is it's more a L-R-L-R thing and Maine isn't
really Omar's #2 ... it's too early in the season to hate.

You're probably right, but the Mets 2-5 starters could be in any order. They really needed a good SP and didn't get one.

Yeah, whatever.

This would have been a good moment for Mike Jacobs to get off the Schneid.

I don't know why, but the new graphic for Kevin Burhardt's reports, "KEVIN BURKHARDT REPORTS" and then the subject, makes me laugh.

Speaking of SP that they didn't get, Jason Marquis gave up 6 earned in 4+ tonight, including a shot by Ryan Howard that knocked the landing gear off of a passing plane.

1 inning to show omar/jerry's stupidity.
mejia promptly gives up hits to the #7&8 hitters, and somehow gets away with only one run. and jacobs continues his hot night with a popup. 2ks and a popup. great cleanup hitter....

great roster decisions on the # 24/25 guys on the roster...

I feel some (probably unnecessary) sarcasm coming on so I think
I'll go watch in the other room and turn off the laptop ...
