LaRussa is starting to shut down his automatics in anticipation of opening day. No Pujols today, and it's reported to be Holliday's last game also.Tony is additonally giving a last audition today to some of his candidates for the last spot in the rotation. bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Two homers against Perez in the first (plus 2 doubles). Has he done anything this spring to make you think he deserves to start the year in the majors?

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hold on, a Mexican gives up two home runs and they are not wind aided?

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Two homers against Perez in the first (plus 2 doubles). Has he done anything this spring to make you think he deserves to start the year in the majors?[/quote:2fv93ivs]Yes. Those homers two years ago would've been balls. In a real game he'll adjust and throw the ball somewhere in the middle, the guy will whiff, and we'll cheer.I would think pitchers (especially Pelfrey) would be more apt to challenge hitters in spring training. If anything, this is an eye opener that they aren't going to beat the guy with just the pitch, they need the location as well.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Perez gives up another hr in the 2d.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Apparently the Cardinals minor leaguers are beating up Santana now too.I'm getting, uh, a little concerned.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 JCL: does that mean you want to revise your 91-71 prediction?
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Santana and Perez being pummeled in split-screen. This is the first spring game I've gotten around to watching down here. I guess they really wanted to pack in the misery.

Guest attgig Guests Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 seems like bay is having a little trouble getting to some of these balls...maybe his defense was what everyone else thought it was...
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Fucked , we are fucked , see you in October loosers
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 The original posted "boo tote" for the fat lazy mexican was 96%. Take the over
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Another shutdown job by Beta-Mexican Elmer Dessens, who's on nobody's shortlist.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Is there a Mrs. Fudd? All I know about Elmer J. Fudd's personal life is that he's a millionaire who owns a mansion and a yacht.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Per Lennon , The moving truck has arrivedWhich means it's almost time to head back to New York. The Mets will be loading up the truck over the next 24 hours. It leaves at noon on Wednesday.Getting close to that magic day.Hold it right there , is that City Field in the pic?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Are they packing Dave Racinello's bicycle or is he going to be pedaling back to New York?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 He's coming back to New York on a pogo stick. All in a vain effort to get more than one line of coverage in the section with the ellipses.
