Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Horrible game for Pelf. The Pirates should be a little spot of brightness and glee on the schedule, not a three-game butt-kicking.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Potentially getting swept by the lowly Pirates... I'm getting a sense of deja vu. Has this happened in the last year or two?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Lose 3 to the Pirates..you gotta be shittin me
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Also, did Jason Jaramillo (5-10, 3 runs, 1 HR, a shitton of RBI) sacrifice a virgin before this series, or what?
Guest mario25 Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Mets are looking for a bat but a legitimate number 2 starter behind Johan would fit the bill nicely. Ex....Johan,Oswalt, Pelfrey, Maine, Perez when he comes back but Livan until then. I also think Murphy isnt woth the 250 average right now when he cant catch a cold. If he was hitting .340 I would say different. Derosa would fit in nicely and be useful when Delgado comes back.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Far from over... another run and now I think Ohlendork is getting the hook.

(Much like the Phillies did at the Vet 20 years earlier.)

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 The heck with trade talk. WIN IT FOR KEN!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 So how many more of these games do we need before we can go with F-Bomb, officialmente? Do we need a multi-HR game?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 It's nice to see a manager resist the urge to stretch his starter to 5 innings so he can get credit for a win.The save stat is the primary example of a statistic influencing a game. The 5-inning win is in second place.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Emil "Muzz" Brown dorks his first pitch as a Met back to the pitcher for an inning ending out. Welcome to the quad-AAA Mets fever, catch it!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Email brown out on the first pitch.Ken kould have done that.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Ya know, if the pen can shut these punks down, we have a shot at getting this one back.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Mets get E-mail bounceback.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Sean Green has another encouraging inning. He thrives with the mop.

Only the finest hitter in the National League, Frederico Lorca Sanchez.

Whe he got to the Braves' game he said (a close paraphrase), "The Braves must have given up on winning this one. Ron Piche is in the game."I get that same feeling when I see Sean Green coming in out of the bullpen.Later

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Keith referred a moment ago to Carlos Beltran's happy area. Clearly, PNC Park (a.k.a. The Punk) is not the Mets'.
