seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Jerry's going all out.Do NOT take Santana out of this game. Gwreck, I'm assuming you're at the game. Go lock the bullpen door, and take Ryan Church's helmet away.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Feliz had no play on Tatis. The mental error was as bad as the physical, maybe worse.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Sheff needs to get the insurance home here
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I love Delgado's little book. I want him to publish it when he retires.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I'd like this a lot more if Church would double in two runs.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The problem with pinch-hitting for Santana and Park in those spots is that you've lost your pitcher (who was throwing well), not in exchange for a run, but in exchange for a 25% greater chance at a run (if you assume a .250 difference in BA between the pitcher you took out and the pinch hitter, which is being genrous when talking about Santana)
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Awful at-bat by Church. Durbin was all over the place against Tatis and Church goes up free swinging to get down in the count 0-2.Once he had the two strikes it's harder to blame him for swinging at close pitches but at 2-2 he did foul off two more balls and swing and miss on a third.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 To the eighth. I don't like it one bit, but we'll see.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 My head would have exploded off my shoulders two dozen times if I wasSantana over his short Mets tenure.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Santana had thrown 100 pitches on the nose?We could have gotten another out of him, I think.Ok, must have faith in the bullpen...must have faith in the bullpen...must have faith in the bullpen.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Wow, Feliciano in.I gues Putz has the night off after working the first 24 games this season.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Wow, a lucky break as Rollins squibbles one right back to the mound.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Ryan Church says "Oh yeah, Pedro Feliz? I can make idiotic throws too."
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 And a horrible break as Vic Dorino squirts one over Delgado's head and drops it on the line.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice play, Pedro. One more please.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice job by Feliciano on that play.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Gary: "In which case we might see Matt Stairs."Me: "How could you miss him?"
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Ryan Howard jumped out of his shoes trying to hit that curveball.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Delgado came to the mound and said "If you throw him a fastball I'm going to fight with Gary Carter."
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Boo ya! Feliciano drinks Howard's milkshake.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 YAAAAAAAAA!Nice. I know the numbers say otherwise, but I just don't fear Ryan Howard.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 NICE!!!!I'm the first guy to dog Feliciano, but that was an outstanding job. Cap tipped.
