="seawolf17":260hgn7h]Jealous.

="Benjamin Grimm":260hgn7h]My daughter has already told me that she wants to get the sign after I die. I told her to marry a Mets fan so that her future husband can appreciate it too, and she said she'd try, but that she wouldn't marry a Yankee or Phillie fan. And that she'll move to New York if she has to do that to find a Mets fan.[/quote:260hgn7h]

Note to self: Arrange marriage between MiniWolf and MiniGrimm.[/quote:260hgn7h]

Damnit. I'm always a step slow.

Here are the photos. People tell me I look like Tim Allen's neighbor on Home Improvement.

Never realized that the neon characters on those signs are selected to coorespond with the gate you're being directed to. Good show.

B for "catcher." Duh.

Gate C was a baseball.

Cool signs , are they really long or are you short?

The sign (it's just one; I'm showing both sides of it) is 64 inches. I'm 70 inches. (That's 5'10")

What is 'R B4'?

Benjamin Grimm
Nov 25 2008 07:43 AM

My guess is that it has something to do with the positioning of the sign.

R for Ramp.

B for Gate B.

And 4 as a sequential number. Maybe it was the fourth sign along the ramp leading to Gate B.

I think that's the name for the ramp.

Ramp {Gate}B #4.

Whish side will you display? Or will it hang suspended, to crash in the wind and drive your neighbors crazy? (Mebbe you can lend it to Soupy during a Nor'easter for an outdoor noisemaker)

We're going to hang it above the stairs so that both sides can be seen. From the upstairs hallway you'll see a sign directing you down to Gate B. And from below, you'll be able to look up and see the "Loge Level."

Cool. We could never do that here in Earthquake country, lest it be turned into a guillotine.

Your wife is actually going to allow you to hang that inside the house?

Wow. She's a keeper.

My boss just sent me a photo that he found online of my Shea Stadium sign in its original location. I can't seem to upload it at the moment, but once I do I'll share it here. It's a great photo that really shows a lot of the interior of Shea.
