Night games being played in Texas (heat); LA Dodgers (those SoCal teams always play at night); plus Boston & Cleveland (shame on them)

Bad News: 11 games means that 8 teams aren't playing at all - and it would have been 10 but one game (NYY-Det) is a rain makeup

Already in progress: Justin Verlander earning his reputation on the 'Sucks' list by coughing up 7 runs to the Yanx before getting 6 outs

- Yanx jump out to an 8-1 lead but are now hanging on to a 11-8 edge thru 5 (they're in the same half-inning as our game despite starting an hour earlier)

- Fish & Braves tied at 3 in the 9th

- Nats put up a 2-spot in the 1st against Kendrick and the Phils

Some clown named Marco Estrada walked Pedro Feliz with the bases loaded and then hit Chris Coste with the bases still loaded to force in two runs.

Fortunately he got the next batter to end the rally. 6-3, middle of the 6th.

A hot team is a hot team. I think it is fair for me to ask them to remain hot until we next play them. Then I will ask them to turn ice cold. And they better listen if they know what is good for them.

The combination of Fman and Gwreck's most recent posts, above, gave me a powerful sense of deja vu.

Is it possible we were saying the same thing last September? I have a hunch that this month is going to bring us all kinds of flashbacks, few of them good.

Hopefully this month, though, will have a much happier ending.
