The only excuse I can see for that is that Yankee has other meanings, while Mets really doesn't.

I didn't even know the forum had a spell checker.

I use the checker that defaults in Firefox. (Anything I misspell ends up getting underlined and I can fix it by right-clicking on the word.)

I think Mole means if we on the forum are bothered by Firefox spell checking Mets and not Yankees , not that the forum has a checker.

Interesting , after reading this I installed the US-English dictionary add on and now Mets does not get spell checked.
