Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 my vote: the Brew Crew, Braun and Sabathia
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I'll go with Delgado and Ubaldo Jimenez
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I'll take Ubaldo over Cain, since his month included three starts in Denver, and Hardy, a good shortstop OPSing over 1.000.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Ubaldo and Fuentes must have been two great tastes that go great together this month. It's Ubaldo and Delgado to me. LaRoche and Tatis fall short on plate appearances.Hardy may be a good shortstop, but has he been one this month?

Fielding splits? Can't find em. He's been good this year, though, and I'd think getting that sort of production from your shortstop is more valuable than getting it from your left fielder or first baseman.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Zone rating puts him and Reyes near the bottom of qualifiers.http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/fielding?groupId=8&season=2008&seasonType=2&split=82&sortColumn=zoneRating
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Prospectus gives him 11 FRAA and THT has him middle of the pack in RZR and second in fielding win shares.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 While we wait for an announcement on July, Delgado in August:.667 / .667 / 1.000 // 1.667
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 delgado - sabathia is my guessdelgado - fuentes is my vote, just to be different from all y'all jiminez voters. 19 k in 10 ip, with a 0.00 era is pretty fancy
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 I'm voting with my Mets heart -- Delgado! Sabathia for PitcherOTM.Some month for Fuentes, though. I wasn't even aware until I read marathon's post.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Ryan Braun and C.C. Sabathia have been named as the NL Player and Pitcher of the Month for July, 2008.
