Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 No lineups yet, but I'd like to take a moment to declare that beating Freak Lincecum would be a Big Win, but if the Mets lose, as long as it's not in heartbreaking fashion, it will be a small loss. (But it would require them to win on Wednesday and Thursday.)But hopefully the Mets are girding their loins right now, and will rise to the challenge here.Come on, guys! Let's rein in a Big Win!

Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 If you want Easley's bat, you gotta live with his glove, I guess.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 You gotta be kidding me -- he practically left footprints on the mound!
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Stab him Jerry. Lewis wasn't close to the basepath.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Big Pelf, picking it up!
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Plunking a Molina should only warrant a 2-ball penalty. How are you supposed to miss them?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Pelfrey deserves A LOT better this inning.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I know how to get this guy Bowker out- you jump over his head and grab the axe. The bridge totally collapses.Big K for Big P, who looked pretty damn good despite all the ducks on the pond.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Gonna be one of those nights, I guess. Giants hit dribblers that find holes, Reyes line drives an atom ball. Nevermind- an Endy dribbler squeaks through. Let's go Dave!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 One of those nights when Beltran is pulling the curve. Wow!

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Wes Walker sounds like a helluva guy. Went back for a masters. Wow.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I met WW in a shopping mall on LI one time during his playing days.He was probably the only football player I ever met who didn't dwarf me, in fact we were virtually the same size. But even with just the simple act of walking across the floor he managed to look so ridiculously athletic that anyone who was asked to pick the pro athlete out of the two would have made the right choice 100% of the time.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I'd have been there tommorow night had Santana faced Lincecum as originally scheduled, with the revamped matchups we decided not to bother. make me regret staying home pelfrey.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Pelf's been the biggest surprise this year. He doesn't even look like the same guy from last season.

This performance is a revelation. Cards take a 2-0 lead on Phillie also.
