In the sense that getting one guy out can be called "cruisin'."

lol.
I thought I saw some nice stuff on his pitches.
But your right, one out does not constitute a "cruise".

They take the tarp off, and now they put the tarp back on.

Never mind that last post. As soon as they took the tarp off it started to rain again. It's back on.-JD

Anyone hear anything? I keep poking my head in here and finding some
show I never heard of on channel 11.

As far as I can tell, Ryan Howard is still ankle-deep in water.

If it means anything, the storm has blown past my house. I live about 45 minutes north of Citizens Bank.

Didn't see right before the rain delay started, did Feliciano warm up?

Lunchbucket - "Blinky Madison."

KC - "One of my favorite episodes."

I hope to see an episode of Stinky Madson.

He was on the mound, ready to face Howard, when the tarp was summoned.

What happens if they never resume?

Does the entire eighth inning get wiped out, giving Perez a 7-inning CG/ShO?

Or (more likely) does it go into the books as a 7 and a half inning game? And do the Phillies stats in the bottom of the eighth count?

If they call it, it goes as a 7 inning game and the Mets stats for the top of the 8th are wiped. Yes, Perez gets the CG, SHO and W if that happens.

What a break that'd be.

Since it was a day game they'll wait a few more hours before they call it, I would think.

Come clean, you're related to Delcos. You are Delcos. Your barber cut
Delcos' uncle's hair.

Nah, but those are excellent guesses! I just know that he keeps updating blog.

The 2:50 rain delay seems to have favored Pedro Feliciano.

Let's hope Pat Burrell looks as lost as Howard did.

I can't believe Burrell took that 3-2 slider.
That was exactly where I wanted to see Heilman put it.

Aaron gets a comebacker to get out of it!
WOOT

Nice work by Feliciano and Heilman. That AB to Burrell was brutal to watch
but walking him wasn't the end of the world there despite being up 1-2.

Mets need to pile on a ton o' runs NOW!!!

Feliciano and Heilman are getting some beer tonight. Two huge outs after the rain delay.

Yay, bullpen!

Yay, three guys to get three outs!

Yay, two and a half hour half inning!

It would be real nice to get some more runs here
Mets have had 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1 & 1 baserunners in the first 8 innings and the only one that scored was the guy who knocked himself in.

And now a baserunner to start the 9th.

Reyes leads off the ninth with a single. Let's get some insurance runs.
