Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Maybe I'm nuts, but I smell a back-to-back from Delgado.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 And Delgado strikes out.I need to get my nose checked.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Gamecast watchers, Gameday has new features today also. Check it out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Just what the teams wanted on this 2-stadium DH day - 1 hour 10 minutes to play 2-1/2 innings. They're gonna need that cop escort and maybe a few helicopters.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Rodriguez raps one past Reyes to score Jeter.3-2 Mets. One out in the third.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Yankees get ANOTHER pop-fly single, this time from Posada.Loads the bases with one out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 How many FUCKIN bloops are thesee assholes gonna get?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Hey, Carlos, if they hit it over your head, good for them. If they drop it in front of you, it's on you.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Another weak hit? Lucky MFY's.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I know what this sounds like but I swear these dorks get more cheezy hits than any other team. All that's missing so far is a patented Gary Sheffield special where he tops one with that monster swing of his and gets a 30-ft swinging bunt.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Ron says this is happening because outfielders tend to play deeper in Yankee Stadium.Jose made a nice play to steal a single from Cano. It was behind him when he dove and grabbed the grounder, then he turned and got the force at second. The throw to first was too late for what would have been a spectacular double play.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I was just about to mention another MFY special - the grounder with less than two out and runners on that'll be hit too shitty for a GiDP ... and ARod does just that.So the inning continues
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Today's a day to grind it out, Big Pelf.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Well he's already up over 80 pitches so we're talking about 5, maybe 6, innings at best.If he didn't get out of that inning he may be gone already.4 innings = 1:40
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Run, Jose! Run like the wind!
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Yanks have the bottom of the order up next inning. Pelf can get through that.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Hah!Two pitchouts in a row, and Jose wasn't running either time!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 And THEN Jose steals the base!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I hope we piss off Girardi enough that he straps on his old gear and puts himself in the game.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Jose showing that it's not very hard to outsmart the MFYs.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Walk, walk, sharp single by Wright.Pitching change. Beltran due up with bases full and nobody out. They HAVE to score at LEAST one run here. (Hopefully four!)
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Bases loaded and the new coach holds Jose at third.Pitching change with our switch-hitting cleanup hitter up. (The Yankees have no lefties in the pen.)I'm labeling this a big plate appearance.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Coulda been a DP, but it's a forceout.Tying run scores.NOW I'm smelling a homer by Delgado. This time I really mean it!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Not sure I'm cool with Beltran going after the first pitch, but we get a runner home.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Holy schmoleys, Game Day is freaking me out. The 3D thing is neat.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 This Ramirez guy is a change-up specialist who seems to be either real good or horrible in his outings.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Okay, so I didn't smell a homer.BUT I DID SMELL A TWO-RUN DOUBLE!6-4 Mets!
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Incoming pitch has been hit into play...WooHOO!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I'm thinking it'd really be nice to say goodbye to Yankee Stadium in style.Happy Mlicki Day!
