Beautiful night for a game.

I might go buy a ticket. . . but even if I did i wouldn't be able to get down to the field level without risking being thrown out. After almost getting thrown out of Yankee stadium on their "opening day" (more like the second opening day), I think I am going to be an angel this year. :)

Exactly. They don't let us (the great unwashed) down on the field level, you know...

Too bad I saw this after the game... I would have dropped by if you were still there late. At that point, the ushers looked like they stopped caring, given that half the stadium occupants seemed to be in the first 10 rows.

I also should have brought a jacket, it got cold.

Let's take bets on when Vic left last night. In this weird place called the CPF, winner donates $10 to the community chest.

I'll say that Vic stayed for the whole thing and rejoiced in his field box when Easley slid home with the tying run.

No way. Split after 10

He's got young kids, the Mets were scuffling away their chances to tie, and he hates Shea.

He's a pragmatic guy.

Vic fell asleep late in the game and his kids woke him when it finished , so while he stayed for the full 14 he was out of it.

A lot of other choices were taken, so I squatted end-of-seven. It was a flanking maneuver.

End of 13 still open. End of 8 is still out there too, but that's unlikely considering the Mets tied it in that inning. Half-innings are also available, but I don't know anyone who leaves just before their team is about to hit.

Also available is: "Objected too strongly to Stadium security, never made it inside, awaiting bail."

I'm with AG/DC, end of seven. He stuck around for Lazy Mary, watched a few more at bats by the home team, and then hopped the train.

I vote he is still there. Doesn't want to leave his fancy shmancy field level seats. This would also explain why he has not posted yet.

i was there the whole time, i'll guess that vick left after the foolish subbing of Sanchez for Feliciano and then Feliciano for Smith wasting 2 pitchers when sanchez could just as easily have finished the inning.

Schoenweiss was going to be the long man if the game continued , we need Wise for such situations.

Want to give Gary Cohen credit for calling it right on Hanrahan , when he saw him warming up he remarked how dicey him coming out of the pen might be with how wild he can be.

That was like when the confiscated by bag at Yankee stadium (a day after letting me go in with the same exact bag) and while I was arguing with the guy about letting me in with the bag, I watched AT LEAST 3 women walk by with purses BIGGER than my bag.

Yeah, I had that happen the last time I went to Yankee Stadium. I had to go across the street to a bowling alley where you check your bag for $5. Rip-off.

Funny thread, I hope Vic is ok. Probably had the day off.

A couple of went to a game a couple of years ago and Vic and his friend had
to leave and his daughter put up a struggle to stay ... it was heartwarming.

I believe you are confusing me with Nats pitcher Jon Rauch. He is enormous (in the tall way) and a stark contrast to teammate Ray King (who is enormous in the other way.)
