Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 We don't have a thread on the 2008 St. Lucie Mets yet.Two big league Mets have pitched for them already this year, Sanchez and Hernandez. The team has started out with five straight losses.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I'm just catching up. We went to see St. Lucie play Jupiter on Saturday night. My Dad and I were both really impressed by the defense. The hitting was horrible. Pitching was OK, but was saved by the stellar D a lot.
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Speaking of the StL-Mets, they're currently in midst of funk that has seen them drop 7 straight, and have a (2-16) record on the season. Apart from Dylan Owen, the rest of the starting pitching has been pretty sucky. If they don't string some wins together soon, we'll have to rename them the StooL Mets.
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 The Stool Mets have now lost 11 straight and have a 2-20 record for the season. Tim Teufel's employment status is likely to change very shortly.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 It looks like St. Lucie has won 2 of their last 3. Their record is now a robust 4 and 21.Ramon Castro has now seen game action for the St. Lucie Mets.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I believe the newly arrived Claudio Vargas pitched the Lucys to one of those victories.Testing my irritating new signature.
